A night at the ballet

The Moscow ballet was in town for a couple days and we were able to catch their performance of The Nutcracker last night.  I jump on any chance to overdress, and for this occasion I decided to re-create a look that I pinned a while back from Paris fashion week.

Create a messy half updo by taking two sections of hair from behind your ear, knot in the back, and pin in place. Repeat so you have two, pinned knots.

My mother whipped that skirt up for me in one afternoon. Isn't she amazing?!

I hope you all have a beautiful day!

  2. Beautiful!!!! I love how your mom sews. I wish I could sew. I like your version better. Stunning. We saw the Nutcracker 4 years ago when I was pregnant with my son. We both loved it. Aiden couldn't stop dancing inside of me. Didn't get a chance to see it this year, hoping to next year.

  23. Man, can I hire your mom to make me whatever I want to wear every day?! Props to your mom. You look super glamorous and fabulous. How was the Nutcracker? I was in the Nutcracker with the Moscow City Ballet (not sure if that's different from the Moscow Ballet) when I was around 9 or so. They got kids from local dance studios when they went on tour. I was a mouse (and a damn good one)!
