I'm back! Plus some completely unrelated pictures

Dearest blogging friends - I'm finally back from France and I have missed you!  It was an incredible trip - the trip of a lifetime for several reasons - and I can't wait to share pictures with you.  In the meantime, the jetlag has been brutal and I've got a wicked head cold, so here is a picture of an outfit I snapped a few weeks ago and never got around to posting. Between me and the Nyquil, it's the best we can come up with right now.

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year and I'm looking forward to catching up on the comments and emails!  And I promise I'll be back as soon as I know my head from my a**.

Plaid top: thrifted
Skirt: DIY (tutorial here - I tucked the darker, top layers in)
Shoes: Cole Haan

  17. Yeah my lovely friend, so glad you are back, missed you. I hope you had an unforgetable time in Europe, France. Next time you come visit me in germany ;-). I got back on Monday from the USA and still suffer from jetlag, it's horrible.Tull combined with plaid at its best, didnt even think of this phenomenal combination.

Welcome back! Tulle and plaid, not something we see everyday but it works! Love how the feminine mixed with a slight masculinity in the plaid, fabulous styling!

  46. **jaw drops** You are the cutest thing ever. This is dreamy. The combination of a lumberjack print with a fairy tale skirt is flawless. I am sure you had a beautiful time in France. I'm super jealous over here.

May the force be with you.

  48. So glad you're back!! I LOVE this skirt. I've gone through such an ordeal trying to find a tulle skirt like the Karinska skirt from Anthropologie. I found one on ebay (through another blogger) for 12 dollars, but it's not poofy at all. I found one at Shabby Apple, but it's more than I wanted to spend. So I'm still looking! This one is fabulous. You are one gifted seamstress.
